Mandl's goat farm
Fancy a goat? The Mandl family’s idyllic organic goat farm is located in the heart of the Bucklige Welt and is a paradise for children. Michael will be happy to show you around the farm and explain how the delicious goat’s cheese is made. Afterwards, we head to the goat panorama and the farm shop, where the homemade goat’s cheese products are ready for tasting.
Krumbach Museum Village
You can experience history up close in the centre of Krumbach. Here you can visit six reconstructed and fully furnished buildings from the region. These are grouped around the former 16th century town hospital. A short film tells you even more about the history of the Bucklige Welt. Afterwards, you can sample some delicious cider.
Schwarzbräu brewery
It all began with the Schwarz family’s passion for brewing beer. Today, the Schwarzbräu family brewery in Krumbach is an integral part of the Bucklige Welt. The private brewery offers guided tours with information about the history of beer, the valuable raw materials (which you can see, smell and taste) and a tour of the production facilities. A small tasting session rounds off your beer experience.
Kölbel brandies
The Kölbel family’s small distillery is located on one of the thousand hills of the Bucklige Welt – the Kraxenberg. Here, schnapps and liqueurs are produced with passion. Distillery tours are offered by brandy sommelier Werner Kölbel for all those interested in savouring fine spirits. Afterwards, your taste buds will be put to the test with a tasting of the high-proof delicacies.
